Reverse description A regnal year date inscription enclosed within a laurel wreath tied at the base with a Hercules knot. The text ΕΤΟΥϹ Η is arranged in three lines within the wreath, with the letter Β (indicating the second reign year of the Diocletianic era, corresponding to regnal year 8) positioned below the wreath binding. The wreath itself is carefully rendered with opposing sprays of laurel leaves, a hallmark of Alexandrian reverse design. This date formula is a defining feature of the Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage under the Tetrarchy.
