| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Galerius as Caesar facing right, the portrait rendered in a bold, somewhat provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian mint. The emperor wears a radiate-style laurel crown, with paludamentum draped over the cuirass visible at the shoulder. The Greek legend ΓΑΛ ΜΑΞΙΜΙΑΝΟϹ Κ runs around the periphery, identifying the subject as Galerius Maximianus in his capacity as Caesar. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with late third-century Alexandrian tetradrachm production. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The personification of Elpis (Hope) advancing left, rendered as a draped female figure wearing a modius or turreted crown. She extends her right hand forward holding a flower, while her left hand gathers and raises the hem of her garment in the characteristic gesture associated with this deity. A six-pointed star appears in the upper right field, and the Alexandrian regnal date L Δ (year 4, corresponding to 295–296 AD) is inscribed in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the figure. The coin is enclosed within a beaded border. |
