Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Diocletian facing right, seen from the front, with detailed hair rendered in fine strands beneath the laurel wreath. The emperor's portrait is set within a beaded border, with the Greek imperial legend disposed around the periphery. The cuirass is rendered with characteristic Alexandrian workmanship, and the overall style reflects the provincial tetradrachm tradition of the late Roman mint of Alexandria.
