背面描述	Athena (or Roma) seated left upon a throne, holding a small Nike figure in her outstretched right hand and a long spear in her left; a large shield rests at her feet to the left. The figure is rendered in a static, frontal-throne posture common to Alexandrian reverse types of the Tetrarchic transitional period. The regnal year legend appears in the left field, indicating year two (L Β) of Numerian's reign at Alexandria. The overall style is consistent with the debased billon tetradrachms of the late third century Alexandrian mint.

附加信息	Carinus ruled the eastern half of the empire while his father Carus campaigned against Persia — a campaign that ended with Carus dead under disputed circumstances near Ctesiphon in late 283, possibly struck by lightning, possibly murdered. Alexandria's mint continued producing tetradrachms through this administrative handoff without interruption, which is precisely why distinguishing late Carus-era from early Carinus-era issues from this mint can be difficult. The regnal year Β (year 2) places this piece in 283–284, toward the close of Alexandrian tetradrachm production, which effectively ended with Diocletian's monetary reforms.
