The composition is centrally placed within the field, with the Greek legend ΑΦΙΕΡΩϹΙϹ (consecratio) appearing in the upper field, referencing the imperial apotheosis. The reverse exhibits the characteristic broad, flat flan and dotted border of late Alexandrian billon tetradrachms. The eagle type, associated with the deification of Roman emperors, is rendered with bold, somewhat schematic engraving typical of the period. |
