Reverse description Confronted bare busts of Titus (left) and Domitian (right), depicted face-to-face in the centre of the flan, with the mint signature EP (for Ephesus) visible in the lower central field between the two portraits. The surrounding circular legend LIBERI IMP AVG VESPAS ('the children of Emperor Augustus Vespasian') identifies the two princes as heirs to the Flavian dynasty. The composition is bold and symmetrical, typical of the eastern provincial issues struck under Vespasian.
