| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figure of Dikaiosyne (personification of Justice) depicted facing, with head turned to the left. She holds a pair of scales in her outstretched right hand and a cornucopia in her left arm, standard attributes identifying her allegorical role. The figure is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Mesopotamian civic coinage under Roman suzerainty. The Greek legend, referencing victory for the Romans, runs around the periphery of the flan and displays the characteristic alpha-as-lambda orthographic feature noted on this issue. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with some flatness consistent with hammered provincial production. |
