The empress is depicted in the Roman imperial style, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ (Faustina Augusta) runs around the periphery of the flan. |

| Reverse description | Standing female figure, identified as a veiled deity — possibly Juno or Demeter — facing left, holding a patera extended over a peacock at her feet and a long vertical sceptre in her other hand. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic provincial tradition. The Greek dynastic legend of the Abgarid king Mannos Philoromaios surrounds the design, with the distinctive epigraphic feature that the letter alpha is rendered in the form of lambda throughout the inscription. |
