| Obverse description | Bust of king Vima Kadphises facing left, wearing a tall conical hat with a pointed apex and a long trailing tassel or lappet descending behind. The royal effigy is rendered in a schematic, heavily stylised manner typical of early Kushan coinage. A partial Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, fragmentarily preserved. The flan is irregular and somewhat compact, characteristic of hammered production. |
