The Sindh Kingdom's final decades were among the most consequential in South Asian history. The Umayyad campaigns under Muhammad ibn Qasim culminated in 712 with the defeat of Raja Dahir, ending Hindu rule in Sindh entirely. Coins attributable to Ranavigraha belong to that closing window — struck in a polity that was, within years, absorbed into the expanding caliphate. Whether Ranavigraha was a subordinate ruler or a transitional figure remains debated among specialists working the Pieper corpus.
