| Obverse description | Radiate, cuirassed bust of the usurper Marcus Silbannacus facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic late Roman imperial style. The radiate crown, composed of pronounced rays, frames the emperor's portrait with authority. The cuirass is rendered with visible detailing at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads IMP MAR SILBANNACVS AVG, positioned along the coin's periphery. The portrait exhibits the bold, somewhat stylized workmanship typical of unofficial or peripheral Roman mint production of the mid-third century. |
