Antoninianus - Postumus FIDES MILITVM

Beschrijving voorzijde	Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, rendered in the so-called Style 3 portrait characteristic of his early coinage, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy is presented in three-quarter forward view, lending a distinctive sculptural quality to the portrait. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor by his imperial titles.

The reverse legend FIDES MILITVM, split across the field, identifies the allegory and underscores Postumus's emphasis on military allegiance as a cornerstone of his Gallic Empire.
