| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the usurper Pacatianus facing right, rendered in the typical provincial military style of the mid-third century. The radiate crown, symbol of the antoninianus denomination, is clearly visible above the portrait. The emperor's paludamentum and cuirass are indicated with summary engraving characteristic of this emergency coinage. The encircling obverse legend runs clockwise around the bust within a plain border. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Pax standing to left, draped in flowing robes, her right hand extended forward holding an olive branch and her left hand bearing a long transverse sceptre. The figure is rendered in the standard third-century allegorical tradition, conveying the usurper's propagandistic claim to legitimate Augustan peace. The reverse legend PAX AETERNA is disposed in the field around the central figure. The die work is typical of the hurriedly produced coinage associated with Pacatianus's brief revolt in Moesia. |
