Reverse description The goddess Salus stands facing left in the field, draped in long robes, feeding a serpent coiled around an altar with her right hand and holding a transverse sceptre in her left. The mint mark letter C appears in the left field, serving as the officina identifier for the Cyzicus mint. The reverse legend SALVS AVGG encircles the design along the rim within a beaded border, invoking the health and welfare of the two reigning Augusti, Diocletian and Maximianus. The overall style is characteristic of the Cyzicus mint's output during the early Tetrarchic period.
