Reverse description The personification of Pax (Peace) stands in full figure facing left, draped in flowing robes. In her extended right hand she holds a small Victory mounted on a globe, while her left hand grasps an upright sceptre. The reverse legend reads PAX AVGG, proclaiming the peace of the two Augusti (Diocletian and Maximianus). A mintmark appears in the exergue, varying by issue, and the field is bordered by a beaded rim consistent with late third-century imperial coinage.
