| Reverse description | Apollo depicted standing to the left in a graceful contrapposto stance, his right hand extending a laurel branch forward and his left hand resting upon a kithara (lyre) set at his side. The god is rendered in the classicizing style typical of Antiochene mint production of the mid-third century. The abbreviated votive legend APOLINI CONSERVA — invoking Apollo as protector and guardian of the usurper's reign — is distributed in the field around the figure. |
