Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Diocletian facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style with the characteristic spiked radiate crown denoting the antoninianus denomination. The emperor's effigy is portrayed with pronounced facial features and layered military dress, the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The encircling legend runs clockwise in Latin capitals along the coin's rim, framing the imperial portrait within the field.

Reverse description Winged Victory, draped, standing to the right and extending a wreath toward Diocletian, who stands to the left in military attire holding a globe in his right hand and a sceptre in his left. The composition conveys the conferral of divine victory upon the emperor, a common propagandistic motif of the Tetrarchic period. The reverse legend VICTORIA AVG encircles the scene, with a workshop letter appearing in the field and the officina mark XXI in the exergue, indicating a silver-washed billon alloy with one part silver to twenty.
