| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figure of Salus, goddess of health and welfare, depicted facing left in long robes with a turreted crown upon her head. She extends her right hand to feed a serpent rising from an altar to her left, while her left hand holds a long sceptre or rudder. The mint control mark C appears in the left field, identifying this issue as a product of the Cyzicus mint. The surrounding legend SALVS AVGG proclaims the health of the two Augusti, invoking divine protection for both ruling emperors of the early Tetrarchy. The reverse field is heavily worn, but the iconographic type remains identifiable. |
