The composition presents Jupiter as the divine patron of the Augustan collegium, reinforcing the theological foundations of Diocletian's rule. The reverse field carries the legend IOVI AVGG, and a mark of value or workshop appears in the exergue. The overall style is consistent with the Lugdunum mint's production of the early Tetrarchic period. |
