Reverse description A standing figure, interpreted as the emperor or a deity, depicted facing left in a schematic, barbarous style, holding what appears to be a sceptre or long staff in one hand and a second object in the other. The reverse field is largely plain with traces of a degenerate legend around the periphery, largely illegible. The type imitates the SALVS AVG or similar reverse types common to Claudius II antoniniani, but with markedly simplified and distorted iconography typical of barbarous radiate imitations. A small circular device is visible in the lower left field.
