Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, rendered in the typical Gallic Empire style with a pronounced radiate crown of seven points. The emperor's bearded portrait exhibits characteristic third-century workmanship, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the bust, reading IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG. This coin was struck by the usurper Aureolus at Milan in the name of Postumus, as part of his bid for legitimacy.
