| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, with a short beard rendered in wavy strands. The emperor wears a radiate crown, the spikes of which are clearly delineated, and paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The surrounding field is worn, and the encircling Latin legend runs clockwise along the rim of the irregular flan. The portrait style reflects the Milan mint's engraving conventions during Aureolus's usurpation, issued in the name of Postumus rather than the actual commander. |
