Obverse description Youthful head of Herakles facing right, wearing the iconic lion-skin headdress with the scalp knotted beneath the chin, rendered in bold relief in the Hellenistic tradition. The facial features are finely modeled with a strong profile, the lion's mane and paws draped over the hero's head and neck forming a naturalistic frame. The surface of the flan shows the characteristic irregular edge of a hand-struck bronze issue. No legend appears in the field.
