| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI, depicted in a bare-shouldered truncation with a St. Edward's Crown rendered in fine detail. The portrait, engraved by Percy Metcalfe, is positioned centrally within the square flan with rounded, scalloped corners. A beaded inner border frames the design. The circular legend reads GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR, distributed around the upper and lower periphery of the field. |
