| Obverse description | Bipartite coat of arms of Lucerne displayed on a square-topped shield; the dexter half bearing a stylized vegetal or foliate motif, and the sinister half plain or outlined, rendered in the heraldic convention of the period. The shield occupies the central field with no surrounding legend. The design is characteristic of the small billon issues struck by Lucerne in the first half of the seventeenth century. |

| Reverse description | Uniface issue; the reverse presents an incuse impression of the obverse design, produced as a direct result of the single-die hammered striking technique, whereby the obverse die imparted a mirrored, sunken image to the plain reverse surface. No independent design, legend, or inscription is present. |
