| Reverse description | The reverse displays a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse type, consistent with the bracteate or semi-bracteate striking technique used for small silver coinage of this era. The facing lion's head and flanking civic initials are visible in sunken relief, with the thin flan showing characteristic distortion and surface irregularities resulting from the hammered production method. |

| Additional information |
Zofingen's civic coinage rights in this period derived from imperial grants that the city jealously guarded against encroachment by the Habsburg administration. The Angster — a fractional denomination struck for petty local exchange — circulated almost exclusively within the town and its immediate market catchment, which is precisely why survivors are so rarely found in decent condition: these were pocket change, handled constantly and discarded without ceremony.
