| Reverse description | A floriate cross occupies the full field, its arms terminating in decorative foliage with small trefoils or stylized trees positioned in each of the four angles between the arms. At the center of the cross is superimposed the large quartered armorial shield of Heinsberg, serving as the focal point of the design. The overall composition follows the established Gothic cross-type convention for episcopal coinage of the Low Countries in the early 15th century. A beaded inner circle contains the central device, while the circumferential Latin mint legend is struck between the inner and outer borders. |
