Obverse description Central field displays a large heraldic shield bearing a rampant lion, the arms of the County of Zutphen, surmounted by a small decorative cross at the top of the shield. Below the main shield, a smaller lozenge-shaped escutcheon with additional heraldic devices is positioned at the base. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circular legend running between the inner and outer rims in uncial characters. The overall style is characteristic of late 15th-century Netherlandish municipal coinage, with bold, deeply struck heraldic relief.
