Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a long double-barred cross extending to the coin's edge, dividing the field into four quarters. At the center of the cross, a small shield bearing the Zutphen lion is placed within a circular frame decorated with pellets. The four quarters of the field are adorned with ornate Gothic foliage and trefoil decorations, creating an elaborate decorative composition. A beaded inner circle encloses the central design, with the date legend in uncial script occupying the outer annulus between the beaded border and the rim. The style is consistent with late medieval hammered silver coinage of the Gelderland region.
