| 正面描述 | Within a beaded circle, a multi-line Arabic inscription giving the full titulature of the sultan, reading 'Al-Sultan Suleiman Shah ibn Selim Shah' (Sultan Suleiman I, Shah, son of Selim I, Shah). The legends are executed in a characteristic Ottoman cursive script typical of hammered akçe coinage of this period. The field is flat and irregular, consistent with hand-struck production. A beaded border frames the inscription. |

Suleiman I ascended to the throne in 1520 following the death of Selim I, and the akçe issued in his accession year established the monetary baseline for what would become one of the longest reigns in Ottoman history — 46 years. The coin entered circulation at a moment when the empire's silver supply was still largely dependent on Balkan mines, before the later influx of American silver began destabilizing Ottoman purchasing power in the late sixteenth century.
