Reverse description Four-line Arabic legend in the field naming the issuing khan and the mint, surrounded by a border of pellets visible on the struck surface. The inscription reads 'Saadet Giray ibn Menli Giray / Khan / Struck at Qirim / 929 (AH),' arranged in horizontal lines across the flan. The tamgha or dynastic device of the Giray dynasty may be partially discernible above the inscription. The flan is irregular and slightly buckled, consistent with hand-hammered billon coinage of the Crimean Khanate. The overall style reflects the epigraphic tradition of post-Timurid Islamic coinage in the northern Black Sea region.
