Reverse description Central field contains a multi-line Arabic legend identifying the issuing authority, arranged within a beaded or plain circular border. The inscription reads 'Duriba Osman bin Ertugrul, khallada mulkahu' (Struck by Osman, son of Ertuğrul — may his kingdom perpetuate), a standard formula of Ottoman dynastic legitimation found on early akçe coinage. The lettering is executed in a somewhat compressed, informal naskh-style script consistent with early fourteenth-century Anatolian mint practice. The flan is irregularly shaped and of uneven thickness, characteristic of the hammered technique employed. No mint name or date appears on the coin.
