| Reverse description | The reverse field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Thuluth calligraphy, divided by a cruciform arrangement of horizontal and vertical strokes into four quadrants. The legend records the pious invocation 'Azza Nasruhu' (May his victory be glorified), the mint name 'Ayasoluk' (the Ottoman name for the Ayasuluk/Ephesus region), and the AH date 834. The text is contained within a plain inner circle bordered by a beaded outer ring, consistent with standard Ottoman akçe typology of the Murad II period. The strike is slightly off-center, as is common for hammered issues of this era. |
