背面描述 Arabic multi-line legend occupying the central field, recording the mint name Misr (Egypt) and the regnal year or accession date of Sultan Mehmed III. The inscription is crisply struck in raised relief against a plain, unadorned field consistent with provincial Ottoman hammered akçe production. The flan is irregular with uneven margins, and a small circular hole is pierced at the lower-right rim, mirroring the obverse perforation.

附加信息

Mehmed III came to the throne in 1595 by ordering the execution of nineteen of his brothers — the largest single fratricide in Ottoman dynastic history. His reign also saw the Long Turkish War grind into its most costly phase, straining imperial revenues and accelerating the debasement of the akçe that had been underway since the mid-sixteenth century. By this period the coin had lost roughly two-thirds of its silver content compared to Suleiman-era issues.

The Misr mint designation places production in Cairo, then a major provincial striking facility supplying currency across Ottoman Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean trade routes.
