| 背面描述 | Within a beaded border, the field carries a multi-line Arabic inscription recording the pious formula 'Azze Nasrühu' (May he be victorious), followed by the mint name and the accession year 1003 AH. The mint name, partially illegible on many specimens, varies according to the issuing workshop, as this type was struck at numerous mints across the Ottoman Empire. The inscription is arranged in horizontal registers typical of Ottoman akçe coinage of this period. The beaded circle frames the text and defines the coin's design boundary. The striking is characteristic of hammered production, resulting in slight irregularities in legend placement. |

Mehmed III ascended in 1595 after ordering the execution of his nineteen brothers — the largest single application of the Ottoman fratricide law ever recorded. Coins were struck in his name almost immediately upon accession, as mint production of the new sultan's akçe was both a fiscal necessity and a political declaration. At 0.32g, this piece reflects the severe debasement the akçe had already suffered through the sixteenth century, down from roughly 0.85g under Suleiman I decades earlier.
