Obverse description Multi-line Arabic legend occupying the central field, giving the ruler's name and patronymic (Ilyas bin Mehmed), enclosed within a circular border of pellets. The inscription is rendered in angular Naskh script typical of Anatolian beylik coinage of the early 15th century. The date is incorporated within the legend field. The flan is irregular in shape, as is characteristic of hammered silver akçes of this period.
