Beschrijving voorzijde Arabic legend in two or three lines across the field, typical of Crimean Khanate hammered coinage, bearing the khan's name and titles in a stylized Naskh script. The inscription is enclosed within a plain linear border, characteristic of the small billon akce denomination. The striking is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production, resulting in partial legend visibility at the periphery.

Aanvullende informatie

Ghazi Giray II reclaimed the Crimean throne in 1588 after escaping Ottoman captivity following the disastrous Battle of Molodi in 1572, where a Crimean-led force of roughly 120,000 men was routed by a far smaller Russian army under Mikhail Vorotynsky. His second reign saw renewed assertion of dynastic authority, reflected in fresh mint activity at Gezlev — the prosperous Black Sea port known today as Yevpatoria — which served as one of the khanate's key commercial hubs rather than its political capital.
