| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold naskh script arranged in four registers, reading the royal titles and name of the ruler 'Ala' al-Din 'Ali ibn Muhammad. A decorative crescent or lunette ornament surmounts the uppermost line of the legend, bordered by a raised bead-and-arc frame. The entire inscription is contained within a rounded cartouche defined by a dotted inner border, with the field showing characteristic die-struck relief typical of Anatolian hammered silver coinage of the late 14th century. |
