A small ring ornament appears on the exterior of each lobe, with a globule placed between each lobe. A gnat motif is present in the field. All legends are in Arabic script executed in the Kufic style typical of Artuqid coinage. |

The names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — are inscribed between each lobe. A decorative girdle and an interlaced infinite knot motif occupy the center, characteristic of the intricate geometric ornamentation found on late Artuqid coinage. |
