Parium, the Greek colony on the Propontis coast, held Roman colonial status early enough that its bronzes from this period reflect the administrative chaos following Caesar's assassination preparations — 45 BC places this squarely in the final year of Caesar's dictatorship, when colonial civic minting in Asia Minor operated under layers of Roman oversight that were about to collapse entirely. The reverse legend referencing the duumviri quinquennales points to a functioning colonial magistracy, but examples this small in module rarely survived casual handling.
