Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, seen from the front, rendered in high relief with characteristic Severan portraiture. The emperor's effigy displays detailed drapery over the cuirass, conveying both civic and military authority. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The portrait is boldly struck, consistent with the large-module provincial coinage of Thyatira under the Conventus of Pergamum.
