| توضیحات پشت سکه | Helios, the solar deity, depicted standing facing on a triga drawn by three lions seen frontally, his imposing figure dominating the reverse field. The god holds a globe in one hand and raises the other in a gesture of salutation or benediction. At the feet of the lions, a bucranium and a star appear symmetrically placed on each side of the composition, serving as apotropaic and celestial symbols respectively. The scene reflects the syncretic religious iconography characteristic of Thyatiran civic coinage, associating the local solar cult with imperial imagery. The magistrate's legend surrounds the type, naming the strategos Aurelius Kentauros, son of Dionysos, under whose authority the coin was issued. |

Thyatira, a Lydian city better known from its textile and dyeing guilds than its coinage, produced some of the largest provincial bronzes of the Severan period — this piece among the most substantial. The strategus Aurelius Kentauros named in the obverse legend held a magistracy that functioned partly as a ceremonial office by this era, though provincial cities competed fiercely for the prestige of issuing oversized civic bronzes, a form of soft diplomacy with Rome.
At 48 grams, this falls among the heaviest documented issues from Thyatira's Severan output.
