| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a complex civic mythological composition featuring Zeus and Hera standing facing one another, flanking a central Tyche figure. Zeus is depicted to the left, holding an anchor — emblematic of Ancyra's civic identity — and a sceptre, while Tyche stands behind him and crowns him, holding a cornucopia. An eagle, Zeus's divine attribute, is positioned at his feet. Hera stands to the right, bearing a sceptre and what appears to be a pomegranate. The multi-figure scene is executed in the ambitious high-relief style characteristic of the large-denomination civic bronzes of Ancyra, with the reverse legend distributed across the field identifying the issuing magistrate. |
