Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, portrayed in a three-quarter rear view, the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass rendered in relief. The effigy occupies the central field with a circular Greek legend surrounding it. The style is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage struck in the eastern conventus during the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus.

Reverse description Asclepius, god of medicine, seated left upon a throne, extending his right hand forward to offer a patera to a serpent coiling upward from below, while his left hand rests upon a tall sceptre. The composition fills the central field, with the magistrate's name and civic ethnic divided across the field in two lines above and below. The style reflects the mature provincial die-cutting tradition of Lesbos under the Gallienic period.
