| Reverse description | The emperor stands facing, head turned to the left, resting his right hand upon a long sceptre; before him stands Tyche to the right, holding a ship's rudder and a cornucopia, emblematic of the city's fortune and prosperity. Behind the emperor, Nike stands to the left, extending a wreath to crown him, while holding a palm branch in her other hand. The three-figure composition is a common honorific type in the civic bronzes of Mysia, celebrating imperial virtue and civic benefaction. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, names the local strategos responsible for the issue. |
