Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Carian civic bronze coinage. The imperial effigy is presented with military attire including the paludamentum, conveying dynastic authority. The encircling legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature in Greek characters, occupying the field around the bust.
