| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view, with the muscled cuirass and paludamentum rendered in fine detail. The emperor's bearded portrait displays his characteristic physiognomy as known from Roman provincial coinage of the Conventus of Cibyra. The Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, occupying nearly the full circumference of the flan. The workmanship reflects the large-module civic bronze coinage typical of Pisidian and Phrygian mints under the Severan dynasty. |
