| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two standing figures flanking a central composition: at left, Homonoia standing facing, head left, wearing a kalathos (modius), holding a patera in her right hand extended over a lighted altar and a cornucopia in her left arm; at right, a female figure, tentatively identified as Demeter, standing facing with head turned right, holding ears of grain. Between the two figures, above, a pelta (crescent-shaped Amazonian shield) fills the upper field. The scene symbolises civic concord and divine abundance, characteristic of Pergamene civic coinage of the Severan and subsequent periods. |
