Obverse description Bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing left, seen from the rear, laureate, draped in cuirass, with characteristically long beard rendered in loose curls. The imperial effigy is presented in the distinctive rear-facing three-quarter view occasionally employed in provincial coinage of Asia Minor. The encircling obverse legend identifies the emperor by his titulature.
