Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted in three-quarter view from the front, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Pergamum, with bold, somewhat stylised facial features. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The flan is large and irregular, consistent with the heavy civic bronze coinage of Stratonicea Hadrianopolis during the Severan period.

Reverse description Dionysus standing facing with head turned to the left, holding a long thyrsus in his left hand and a cantharus in his right hand. At his feet are two small attendant figures: to the left, a Satyr standing and facing right, and to the right, a Maenad standing and facing left. The composition reflects the dionysiac iconographic tradition common in the civic bronze coinage of Carian and Mysian cities under the Severan dynasty. The encircling legend names the local magistrate responsible for the issue.
